Beginning Sewing with Tessa

$125.00 USD

Want to learn how to sew? Maybe you know some things, but you're certain there's some gaps in your knowledge? Maybe it's been a long time and you think a solid refresher would get you back on track? Either way we've got you covered!

In this class we'll cover:

  • How to use a sewing machine to sew curves, corners, secure stitching, what stitches to use when, and all that will make you comfortable in the driver's seat.
  • Zippers, linings, elastic, hems, and more will have the fear taken away as you learn to handle them with ease.
  • Learn to decipher pattern symbols, language, and layouts so that you can start making new projects right away!
  •  How to properly cut, pin, and work with fabric to get the best results!

This class is meant to be informative, fun, and encouraging! Class will take place over 3 Saturdays in April. The first class will cover sewing machine basics, troubleshooting, stitches, and sewing a straight line. We'll get started on our first project, a Dopp Kit, and finish it during the second class. Our final project is a pair of comfy Unisex Boxer style shorts or PJ pants (your choice!).

 Instructor: Tessa Gonzales
