This class is for the beginner who has never quilted at all but it will also be very helpful to those that have been quilting for some time, more about this below.

This class will introduce you to piecing and quilting by machine. You'll learn tips and tricks to make your quilting journey a successful one. You will learn how to set up your quilting area, make good color and fabric choices, rotary cutting skills, proper piecing and pressing techniques, which needles and threads, layering and basting your quilt, machine quilting your quilt and adding the binding by machine or hand stitching ... everything you’ll need to become a successful quilter!

You will learn to make 7 different blocks using a large variety of techniques that build a good foundation for your quilting.  You will be able to assemble blocks and add borders to complete about a 40 inch square quilt top and then complete your quilt with machine quilting and binding.

Now for those who may want to improve their quilting skills, take it up a step (newbies don’t read this paragraph, you’ll learn the correct way).  Do your HST (half square triangles) curve, are you having trouble with your ¼ seams, have cutting or pressing issues, spend too much time pinning, having trouble with layering and binding?

Pre-requisite:  Must be comfortable operating your sewing machine which includes how to thread your machine and wind bobbins.
